Yes, we do. That includes a DJ controller, microphones, and a commercial-grade sound system with multiple speakers (as well as Bluetooth speakers for venues where running cables isn’t safe/possible). Depending on the venue, we’ll also bring backups for critical components – things happen, and we’d rather be prepared.
Please note that certain venues may require us to use their on-site sound systems due to noise limits or other operational requirements.
Yes, you certainly can. Our online playlist builder lets you choose from a database of all your favourite songs, and includes categories like ‘Must Play’, ‘Dinner’, ‘General’, and ‘Do Not Play’. You can keep editing and adding songs until 24 hours before your event is scheduled to start. If you want us to play a song/version that’s not in our database, just let us know and we’ll do our best to source it for you.
You’re also welcome to just choose a handful of must-play hits (or no songs at all) and leave the rest up to us.
Yes, as long as we have your permission, we definitely can – we love it when guests engage with us. There’s just one condition: we won’t play songs that you’ve put in your do-not-play list (or songs that are clearly inappropriate for the setting). We know good vibes and a few drinks can make people cheeky, so we’ll always ask for confirmation from you if a guest does ask us about playing that sort of music.
We hold a $20 million public liability policy, as well as relevant insurance for all electronic equipment and vehicles. We’re more than happy to provide proof of insurance during your initial conversation with your Explosive events specialist.
You can choose whatever songs you want – it’s your wedding. As a general rule of thumb, think about how you want people to feel at each stage of the event. For example, hectic, bass-heavy techno might be better suited to the dance floor than your reception dinner. With that said, we’ll adapt the songs you choose to match the mood of the room, so don’t worry too much about creating the ‘perfect’ playlist. Just choose music you love and we’ll build it into a genuinely memorable set.
