Attending a Wedding Expo

Attending a Wedding Expo might be the best opportunity for soon to weds to ensure that their special day will run smoothy. Hundreds of exhibitors (especially on huge expos) will be present and will provide ideas that are definitely trendy and innovate. This will also be the time for the brides and grooms to set a budget and seek vendors that are perfect and of course, within reach. Expos bring such new inspiration and can definitely help with wedding preparations. These expos are not just for the brides but for everyone who will get involve during a wedding. It can also be an opportunity for other vendors to get new ideas and have a friendly competition!

In Queensland, the wedding expo scene is in full swing so to help you get the most out of your day at a wedding expo, we listed some important questions to ask vendors. See below. 🙂

“Will you be available at my wedding date?” Before asking any specific details, this question should go first. You would not be interested to spend time in a vendor who is already booked and would not accommodate your wedding.

“How will we communicate while planning for the wedding?” Communication is very important. Whether through phone or through email or even personally. Ask what is best for them, a preferred outlet of communication in which they can respond easily. You would not want to be stressed out during planning when your vendor is not replying.

“What are your packages? Do you have something flexible that will fit our budget?” It’s great if they have packages in which you can choose from. This will save you a lot of time. It’s also best if they can customise something for you if you want to add extra services. Vendors understand how difficult it is to plan for a wedding and they are always there to extend help. Some also offer packages that can fit your budget.

“Do you have suggested locations?/Have you worked on our location?” Ask for their recommended room or some tips about the venue, if they have already worked there. It’s best if they have a list partner venues which can help you decide.

“Will you provide everything (equipment, setup, etc.)?” It is important to ask the things in which they will bring during the wedding. If it is a DJ hire, will they bring all the equipment needed? Will they provide all the songs and search for the ones you requested?

“What does the process leading up to my wedding day look like?” All vendors have their process during the planning and preparations. That includes the contract approval, downpayment (if they require), initial meeting, final meeting, and a lot more. It is important that you have a timetable that both sides can follow.

Best of luck on your next expo! May you find the perfect set of vendors for you!
